Miracle.

PART I

Miracle, it was.
My past life must have worked for a great cause.
When you came to me to ask if I was fine,
I was having a hard time,
but I soared to Cloud Nine.

I thought of what to do,
for this didn't seem right.
I didn't deserve you,
so why should I fight?
but I couldn't stop myself
for in the end of my tunnel,
you showed me your light.

Your canvas of a mind
had a beautiful painting.
This masterpiece must be indeed hard to find.
(The luckiest, I must be.
I stumbled upon a four-leaf Clover tree.)
I was hoping to contribute just a little bit.
A little bit was enough,
to make my mind tough
to all the adversaries that came
and make me understand the game.

You are my Number One
and your words always left me undone.
I sometimes wish I could be your Number One,
but I know myself, that's most likely impossible.

Now it's time, I left you for good.
I hope the time we spent made you the happiest you could.

Yours sincerely,
I love you dearly.

PART II

A person of a few words, you were,
but each one you said, wrapped me in a warm embrace.
You were my safest place.

A wall was always around me,
but I felt like breaking it when you first saw me.
When I finally did, you built a door--
one without a lock,
but I never felt so secure,
for it was you guarding the entrance.

The time we spent,
days, weeks, months, years,
were so precious.
When you left, they couldn't stop flowing, my tears.

Concern, it was at first,
but I didn't know, an exchange with you,
could make my emotions burst.

You are my Number One, and always will be.
After you were gone, I couldn't replace you,
no one can, as far as I see.

It was truly a miracle.

Lovingly yours,
for every step of the course.
